The club this once again supported the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, through Poppies4Kits.
Thirty teams and an estimated 400 players wore adhesive poppies on their kits and showed their respect with a minutes silence prior to games. This year we raised over £450 for the charity.

Congratulations to our U14 Tornadoes, who registered another tournament success.
They finished Runners Up at the Willen World Cup. Finishing top of their group, they narrowly missed out on lifting the cup, losing a very tight final 1-0 to Stony Stratford, conceding just two goals in the entire tournament.

A huge thank you to all who attended, making it such a successful event.
132 Teams | Over 1100 Players | 361 Games | 736 Goals Scored
“It was great to be a part of Saturday’s girls tournament and witness the spirit in which the football was played, the enjoyment the kids and the parents got from the day and how the event catered and encouraged football for all, not just for the talented few – the day really summed up what Community Football Days should be about and was a reflection of the tremendous hard work you and all of the volunteers at the club put in.
Woburn & Wavendon FC is without doubt a shining example for grassroots football clubs everywhere.”

The metal keeps on rolling in for WWFC teams, with our U14 Tornadoes enjoying success at two recent tournaments..
At the City Colts tournament they got through to the shield final, a very tight game in the final against Stony Stratford went to the dreaded penalty shoot out, but the Tornadoes held their nerve, and came out victors.
They then went to the MK Wanderers tournament and this time got through to the Cup Final, again they faced the same opposition in the Final, Stony Stratford…. Another tight game, but this time Stony just nicked the game with a 1-0 win.
Congratulations to all involved, a great effort.
