Can you help with the #7MillionKeepieUppieChallenge?

Imogen, a 10 year old, has set herself the goal to raise money for a number of keyworker charities by doing keepie uppies every day until she reaches a total of 7.1 million! She is doing incredibly well however, with the Bank Holiday weekend ahead of us, we're asking our friends and members to 'get involved' and help her meet the total by donating your kick ups! Whether it’s an older player doing an ‘around the world’ or a young player learning to do kick ups with a bounce in-between each kick, every kick up counts to help meet the total (which currently stands at an amazing 165,000!).

Details can be found on this page: https://www.justgiving.com/team/7millionKeepieUppieChallengeforCovidHeroes-Team

As a club, we believe sport and exercise is important, however the health and safety of our members will always be a priority, so we are suspending all training going forward with immediate effect and will be reviewing this regularly in line with the additional information that will be made available to us in the coming days/weeks.

We appreciate there may be questions regarding the remainder of the season (matches/training/tournament) and will update you as soon as we can. In the meantime we hope that you remain safe and healthy during these unprecedented times.

We’d like to thank you for your understanding and support.

Following Bedfordshire FAs announcement yesterday that all League and County Cup games will be suspended for the next 2 weeks; we’d like to advise that the Women’s County Cup final tomorrow (15/3/20), which features our Lioness Ladies, has been postponed.

We’ll keep you all updated and hope that everyone can make the event when it’s rearranged.

We were fortunate enough to be invited by the FA to attend the #FemaleFriendlyClubs Workshop this evening, which is making it’s way around the country as it is being delivered to the county FAs (I believe we were stop 23 of 39!)!

A great experience and recognition for the club as we had the opportunity to talk to other clubs that are developing and delivering a female football offering. We were also asked to attend and be ‘the club under the spot light’ as we shared our club’s journey with the rest of the attendees and hosted a ‘questions and answers’ session.

As a club we are extremely proud of our Lionesses football and would like to thank Bedfordshire FA, our members and partners for all of the support we receive to make it happen!
