With only 10 players available this was going to be very difficult, with 2 injuries, and 3 away for half term, but what we did not know was that Bedwell only had 10 themselves.  So on a big pitch it suited the Lionesses and playing a 4-4-1 formation the girls went about there business. It took Casey only 14 mins to find her range and with some good running down the right slots home. 0-1 .Bedwell were young, fit and keen to play football. It took Georgie until the 42 minute to make it 0-2 going into the break.  Half time 0-2 all to play for!

Second half –  some really good play by Britney & Lauren both showing there class playing out of there normal positions, asked to do a one off job for the team were passing the ball so well.

Jade ( playing through groin pain) & Carrie were winning everything in central defence in the absence of Rachel. Captain Carrie controlling things by switching play left & right.  With Madison doing so much running up and down the left was looking so Confident and getting so many quality crosses into the box. Amy started to find some space with her left boot and on 53 minutes let’s fly 0-3.

The Lionesses then decide to switch off for a minute and get hit with a quick ball over the top and top goal scorer on 65 minutes gets one back! Wake up call !! Within  1 minute we respond Amy makes it 1-4 , normal Service resumes. Lizzie and Georgie both working so hard for the team attacking every ball.

Casey then goes on a wicked run down the right and fires a shot against the crossbar. Then Amy hits back with her Hattrick 1-5

Then on 83 mins they work another opportunity and get a second 2-5 Leanne doing her best to stay focused with 100% concentration which she did with not too many shots to save.

Final score 2-5 , good win even though both teams ended up with 9v9!

Well played the Blues! Thanks to the Rangers for a good competitive game.

POM: JADE.
