Eagles Take their chances to progress
The morning started with news that Harrison had broken his foot earlier in the week and after his impressive hat-trick the week before he was definitely going to be missed today.
After a very frosty game between these two teams, two weeks ago, the game got off to a good start.
Harrold still hadn’t lost a game in the League, so were again starting the game very confidently but the Hurricanes were not put off and dominated play within the first few minutes.
Harrold had a good shot on target but was saved by Joe B. Dan then made a good run for the Hurricanes who crossed to Cathal who shot but was saved by their goalkeeper.
There was also a good run from Archie who was playing up front and a great header from Freddie.
The Hurricanes seemed really up for it but 20 mins into the game Harrold made a break and scored.
And what seemed like only a matter of seconds Harrold scored again with a great goal.
The Hurricanes remained determined but on the last minute of half time Harrold scored yet again.
Score at half time Hurricanes 0 – Harrold 3
The second half started very positive from the Hurricanes with a great run from Dan, crossed to Joe V who had a great shot on target but the keeper saved it.
Harrold did retaliate and scored another goal 4-0 – Joe B being kept on his toes with another goal from Harrold making it 5-0.
The Hurricanes were becoming more and more frustrated and with two hand balls from Dan he was taken off to cool down!
Harrold did take advantage of the Hurricanes frustration and scored yet another goal to make the score 6-0.
Freddie managed another shot at goal but again this was saved by Harrold’s goalkeeper.
Hurricanes struggled to keep control of the ball and yet another top corner goal from Harrold made the score 7-0.
With about 10 mins to go the Hurricanes seemed to lift their spirits with some good saves from Joe B and finally 5 mins before the final whistle Cathal managed to score the Hurricanes only goal of the match to make the final score Hurricanes 1 – Harrold 7.
Such a shame as the Hurricanes are a very capable team but just frustration and concentration meant Harrold could control and dominate the game to their advantage.
