HURRICANES LET IT SLIP

It was a great start from the Hurricanes who were on home ground this week. The boys worked well together and were determined which was a nice surprise!

Galaxy also started positive and it looked like it was going to be a good match.

Within the first 10 mins Dan ,who was playing left wing back, ran up the line and cut onto his right foot , chipped it over the center back and caught it on the volley. BANG a great goal!

This spurred the boys on with Omary, who was out on the right wing, making some good tackles.

Unfortunately Galaxy earned themselves a corner and managed to score which made it level pegging.

The game continued with an evenly matched game but a scary moment just before half time left the Hurricanes goal wide open and an excellent goal line clearance from Harrison left the score 1 each at half time.

All to play for in the second half!

The second half started with the Hurricanes having all the play and Archie W back in goal after his injury.

Again both teams were up for it with plenty of play at both ends.

Unfortunately with a slip up and lack of concentration from the boys Galaxy managed to score an easy goal which completely changed the game for the Hurricanes.

The boys found it hard to get back in their stride and enthusiasm slipped away!

There were some good saves from Archie in goal and a couple of attempts at goal at the other end but no one could hit the target.

With just a few minutes to go the boys gave away a free kick from which Galaxy scored to make the final score Galaxy 3- Hurricanes 1.

A real shame as the boys started off the game with real passion but unfortunately let themselves down at the end!
