At least 20 corners, probably 70% of the possession, some beautiful flowing football and a never say die spirit. The truth of it is we new what to expect and did not deal with it until the damage was done. Inspired performances from the Wanderers keeper and their number 11 meant that by half time we were again chasing the game. The second period saw us launch attack after attack. A tremendous penalty save from Adie kept us in the game, however we need to concentrate on getting enough shots away quickly. The corner count should also have yielded better returns, but on a day when the whole team worked their socks off, we can at least take positives from our approach play and combination work. The road is long, and sometimes the best way to progress is when you learn lessons the hard way. We’ll start with working on sharpening up our finishing this week.
