UpSCORE DRAW & Running

An overnight frost followed by sleet & snow had put this opening ‘Spring fixture’ in doubt right up until kick off.  Whilst the playing surface recovered enough to allow the game to go ahead, the arctic conditions continued, with a highly entertaining and determined performance from both teams.  The Hurricanes picked up where they left off in the previous week’s friendly.  Crisp passing, excellent movement and some good finishing from Cathal.  At the back, the defence were strong, whilst in midfield Josh bossed much of the play and ran his socks off.  Quite a physical encounter, Adie was brave and effective in goal, but this was very much a display of togetherness and strong team spirit.  At the end the match could have gone either way, with the Hurricanes forcing a string of four consecutive corners and Olney dangerous on the counter.  Well done to both teams on an excellent match where the football warmed those freezing conditions.
