DEFEATWith the pitch as hard and bumpy as we’ve ever had it, this was always going to have some effect on the way the game was played. Sure enough, the bounce of the ball and hard landings limited our ability to control the ball and we tended to use too many long balls.  Having said that, the boys dominated the first half with a whole string of corners that we were unlucky not to take advantage of. Certainly one of the goals conceded was largely down to misjudged bounce and poor communication.  Nevertheless, the boys were always in touch in this game with plenty more positives as well as areas to concentrate on.  Defensively we were strong (particularly from set pieces), however we do need to work on playing and passing the ball out from defence (particularly goal kicks).  With one more League match to go, all the players should be pleased with the progress we have made as we finish with the 7-a-side game.
