This weekends fixture was extremely wet and windy. The Lionesses arrived looking very smart wearing their poppies and both teams paid theirn respects by holding a minutes silence before the match.

Within a minute of the first whistle, Georgia got the first goal for the Lionesses. Sacha followed this almost immediately after by getting onto the scoresheet too.
Shefford Saints got one back to make it 2-1.
Georgia had another shot not long after and got her second goal. She followed this up with a chip that the keeper managed to push onto the crossbar and the girls went into half time 3-1 up.
The Lionesses made some changes in goal with Elizabeth, Nia, Sacha and Erin all taking a turn by the end of the game.
The second half saw the Lionesses build on their advantage with Maisie getting a goal, followed by Elizabeth thanks to a great cross from Neve.
Georgia then got another, earning herself a well-deserved hat-trick.
Elizabeth got a second and despite all being exhausted and drenched the girls continued to push forward resulting in Nia scoring too.
Shefford Saints, despite the tough conditions, didn’t stop working and trying to get the ball up the field and battled to earn themselves a second goal.
Just before the final whistle Elizabeth got another goal ending the game 9-2.
The team was Neve, Georgia, Elizabeth, Millie, Nia, Olivia, Sacha, Maisie and Erin.
