A beautiful autumn day at Aspley Common greeted us for the first outing in the new kit with newly installed captain Millie and vice-captain Grace. Toddington although regular visitors, were a strengthened side with several ex Flitwick Eagles players swelling their ranks. The Lionesses had been warned but they took this in their stride, as Casey scored in the first minute, lobbed the keeper for a second on 4 minutes and Molly fired in a third on 8 minutes. 3-0 A great move on 15 minutes, saw the ball from the edge of the Lionesses area, passed by Leanne to Chloe A, who picked out Molly, the ball spread wide to Casey who found the net after 4 passes 80 yards of movement. 4-0 The Toddington keeper was pulling off save after save but on 20 minutes, a lob from Molly on 23 minutes and  goal on 26 minutes had this game wrapped up. 6-0 The girls tried then to play passing football, without taking too many shots, however Madison scored to make half time score 7-0

Toddington did pull 1 goal back on 49 minutes, after some good passing football of their own and a rare defensive mistake. 7-1 A rare sight of Chloe A rampaging down the right wing and forcing a good save with a 25 yard shot. A fantastic shot from a good 25 yards and Carrie found the back of the net. 8-1. The final goal was from Emily. 9-1

Toddington certainly were much tougher to break down in the second half and will be much stronger in the next game. With a keeper that they have, it is hard to get goals.

Full time 9-1

Well played to all!

Pat and Steve
