VICTORY

It was good to be playing back on grass at the Rec. for the first time this year. A mild sunny morning on a soft but good surface provided a good work out for the boys ahead of another League campaign.  We had never played our opposition before, and they provided a good test, creating plenty of chances and working hard to the end. Hurricanes defence is beginning to operate really well as a unit, but we must be aware of pushing up too far without the pace to recover if needs be. Both Adie and Joe pulled off some excellent saves, but also their distribution was excellent. Up front Cathal found the target well, and congratulations to Omary on getting off the mark.  We were caught offside a few too many times, so must be prepared to time our runs better…. diagonals before the ball is released through. All in all the last two weeks have delivered strong team performances and everyone should be pleased with themselves.  No room for complacency though….. the tests will become harder and we need to keep a strong team ethic going.
