Late goals blow for Hurricanes

It was a home game for the Hurricanes this week against Willen Lions who sat a few places above them in the league.

Unfortunately it was a slow start from the Boys who conceded a goal after just 5 mins and needed to immediately up their game.

But the Hurricanes came back and with some determined play they managed to get themselves back in the game.

After 25 mins Harrison had a great shot on target which was saved by the keeper but Cathal scrambled in and scored off the rebound.

Both teams pushed forward with Joe V and Harrison defending well.

This kept the score level at 1-1 at half time.

Second half started with Willen having all the play. They had lots of shots but couldn’t quite find a goal.

At the other end the Hurricanes also had lots of chances but the lack of passing let them down and hitting the target was impossible for them.

Willen were very determined and lack of concentration from the Hurricanes allowed Willen two goals with just a few minutes left of the game.

A disappointing result for the boys as a draw would have been a good result. Just need to be able to keep their passing and concentration till the final whistle!
