AFC Kempston 0 0 Woburn Lionesses
14th November 2015

It is halfway through the season now and it is clear the U10 Lionesses are growing in confidence and showing great progress learning to play as a team.

Today was another successful performance, this time against the girls from AFC Kempston with some great individual skills demonstrated but overwhelmingly another strong team performance put in by the girls – well done!

Special mention to our keeper Freya who successfully limited the potency of the Kempston offensive with some brave goalkeeping and swift reactions as she repeatedly helped neutralise their dangerous attacks by using her area to bolster the defensive line – fantastic!

We have a definite candidate for goal of the season from Molly with a ‘David Beckhamesque’ half way line half-volley which seemed to baffle the opposition keeper as it bounced over her head and into the goal – What a gem!!

Finally, it’s great to see all the girls growing as a team and also enjoying themselves as they do, so a big thanks to our coach Paul for driving these important values each week.
