Hatters U9 Cup, Kenilworth Road, Luton.
All three of our Under 9 Teams combined for a day out at the Hatters Cup in Luton. A special 100 seater ‘team coach’ was chartered, and departed from both Wavendon and Woburn with not so much a buzz, but a ‘roar’ of excitement.
Apart from the normal Hurricanes, Whirlwinds and Tornadoes teams, a fourth team of ‘All Stars’ was specially selected from all three teams. Coached by Thierry, they performed brilliantly. Both the Whirlwinds and the Tornadoes narrowly missed making it to the quarter finals, whilst the Hurricanes progressed through their quarter final (via a heart-stopping penalty shoot-out in front of the Oak Road End) into the semi-finals where they eventually ran out of steam.
Very special thanks to all the parents and relatives, coaches and most of all the players for making a very memorable day.
