The Club were delighted to present Spencer Claye of Gallagher Estates with a special framed shirt in recognition of their generous sponsorship.
Gallagher Estates is one of the largest strategic land companies in the UK, promoting and developing residential and mixed use schemes in all geographical areas. They are not a house builder or contractor but play a unique role as master developer, taking forward and coordinating all aspects of the development process from initial site assembly through to master planning, planning promotion and Section 106 negotiations before delivering serviced land to the market place.
Amongst many other of their projects is one familiar to many of us, the development at Eagle Farm North, Wavendon. This is located approximately 5 km to the east of Milton Keynes city centre and is bound by the M1 to the east, the A421 to the south, and Magna Park warehouse park to the west. The site forms part of a major mixed use development allocation for approximately 2,900 homes and [80] acres of employment land in the Milton Keynes Core Strategy. Gallagher Estates subsequently pursued a Planning Permission for 1,355,760 sqft (126,000 sqm) of B1(c), B2 and B8 floor space which was approved in August 2014. The site builds on the success of Milton Keynes as a warehouse employment destination by providing a continued supply of high quality distribution floor space which will appeal to regional, national and international occupiers. The scheme has been designed to protect the alignment of Milton Keynes to the Bedford canal which is a regionally important community project. The site was also an important component in the delivery of the widened/dualled A421 which represents a major infrastructure improvement for Milton Keynes.
Woburn & Wavendon Football Club look forward to further developing a good relationship with Gallagher Estates as we all strive to deliver sustainable communities with excellent leisure facilities.
