SUPERB TEAM EFFORT OFF THE PITCH

As part of the Woburn & Wavendon FC’s continued investment in facilities and infrastructure, it’s great to announce the installation of two new 20’ shipping containers and the eagerly anticipated delivery of a third.

The containers have been sited at Watson’s Field, Little Brickhill, and St Leonard’s Lower School, Heath and Reach. The third will be located at the brand new Wavendon Heights site next year. All three are vital in providing secure storage not only for football equipment but also groundcare machinery.

A massive thankyou to Mike Hogan (U16L) and Sunbelt Rentals for arranging the supply, delivery and installation of these superb and sought after assets. Also a big thankyou to Jim Duffy and all at M O’Brien Plant for enabling and creating a suitable location at St Leonard’s School, and to Michael Turner from Rectory Farm, Great Brickhill for siting the Little Brickhill container. Thanks also to Little Brickhill Parish Council and St Leonard’s Lower School for their continued support and encouragement for local grassroots football.

A final thankyou to Jon Pinney (U10C), Rob Cross (U13H) and also to a very determined delivery driver and the digger operators at Little Brickhill who pulled him out of the mud at Watson’s Field!

This really has been an amazing team effort by so many people, and will provide a long lasting benefit to boys and girls enjoying grassroots community football for years to come.
