It’s so fitting that one of the most important initiatives in local grassroots football also awards one of the biggest cups !
Now in its fifth year, GoalAbility has been delivering regular Sunday morning pan-disability sessions for children of various ages. Former winner of the FA’s Community Project of the Year, the sessions are hugely popular with players, coaches and parents.
“All our participants have progressed so well, achieving significant personal and footballing goals. We wanted to mark all this effort with the awarding of a monthly player achievement trophy. All our players are winners, but the first recipient is one of our founder members, Alistair. He epitomises all the courage, dedication and effort the whole group demonstrates every week” commented Gary Towers, Coach and Organiser of GoalAbility.
The sessions are always happy to welcome new participants, so if you’d like to come along to Wavendon Recreation Ground and see more, please get in touch with Gary. (M. 07765893388. E. garytowers@me.com)
