McDonald’s Super Sixes 2024 Tournaments.
Welcome to our official tournament page, which will include all of the information you need to enjoy our packed weekend of football!
Introduction & Thanks
We are delighted to welcome you to our McDonald’s Super Sixes tournament and thank you for your support in attending over two weekends that we will be hosting!
As the oldest football club in the area, we take pride in delivering a festival of fun, football and friendship for all teams that are taking part. I would like to thank McDonald’s for supporting the tournament for a third year, as well as ID Medical and J&S Trophies who have also kindly joined the club in sponsoring the tournament this year. Whether it is a returning visit or your first time entering, we aim to ensure the day runs smoothly with all teams enjoying the chance to compete in small-sided games throughout the day with some familiar faces that you may have come across throughout the season.
A couple of points on how the weekend will work:
- We are continuing to use this webpage as our eco-friendly tournament programme, which includes all of the information you need to help you plan and prepare for our tournaments.
- We will once again be using a live tournament app for all fixtures, results, and tables across both weekends as this is more accessible and helps with any last minute changes. This will be made live one day before the tournaments.
- Following the success of the change to the Lions (mixed) tournament last year, were we grouped the teams to be more competitive and run as their own mini tournaments, we will now be applying a similar format to the Lionesses tournament, which means that there are more opportunities to play on the knockout stages.
This year we are delighted to be supported by the England Lionesses Captain, Leah Williamson, who is passionate about growing the game in her home city and inspiring the future Lionesses! Leah has allowed us to name one of the groups in each Lionesses age group after her and is supporting the U8 Lionesses group (non-competitive)! Leah’s mother and grandmother will be in attendance during the Lionesses weekend to watch and enjoy some of the amazing football on display!
We’re thrilled to be hosting our Lionesses’ tournament for a 17th year with teams traveling from as far as Germany to participate!
To make the day even more meaningful, a very special Lioness has a video message for all of the players taking part!
Thank you, Leah Williamson! You’ve definitely inspired more girls to start playing football!
We hope this will be another successful year for the club in delivering our biggest and most exciting tournaments to date, which is no small task and is only possible with the hard work and support of our amazing volunteers who have worked extremely hard to plan, setup and deliver the tournaments on the days. A special thank you to our members helping with the vast range of duties across the weekend as well as our Tournament and Club Committee, who have dedicated a huge amount of time and expertise to make this possible, you all deserve our immense gratitude!
Last but no means least, a big thank you to all the players, coaches, relatives and friends who are here today to support the event. Please play your part during the tournament by following all the principles of the FA’s Respect code; remember that the players are children, the coaches and everyone helping on the day are volunteers, and the referees are human. This is their game, so let us support them and let them play!
I would like to wish you all a very enjoyable day!

Respect
Please Remember RESPECT is Everything
Woburn & Wavendon FC fully endorses the Football Association’s Respect Code of Conduct. We expect all those involved with this Weekend’s tournament to follow these guidelines, maximising the enjoyment and development of the children participating in a safe, friendly and supportive environment.
FA Respect Code of Conduct for Spectators & Parents / Carers
We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game. The FA’s Respect Programme ensures football can be enjoyed in a safe, positive environment. Remember children’s football is a time for them to develop their technical, physical, tactical and social skills. Winning isn’t everything. Play your part and observe the FA’s Respect Code of Conduct for spectators and parents/carers at all times.
Sponsors
A massive thank you to all of our club sponsors who help us deliver football to so many children and adults within the community. We are delighted to deliver our club tournaments every year, and this is only possible due to the support we receive from our members as well as companies who are able to assist with sponsoring it.
This year, our McDonalds Super Sixes tournaments are in partnership with ID Medical.
