The Club are delighted to announce that the Lionesses have been awarded the FA Respect/Fair Play Grant award for the 2014/15 season.
This is an annual award from the Bedfordshire FA to one boys’ and one girls’ youth team or club, and it recognises outstanding discipline and adherence to the goals of fair play. Apart from receiving the £250 prize, the award is a tremendous tribute to all the Lionesses’ players, coaches, administrators, volunteers and families. A true team effort, this award follows the superb MKDDL Fair Play standings achieved by many of the boys’ teams.
Club Chairman, Ian Doggett commented, “WWFC is all about football and friendship. A cornerstone to this is the respect we encourage everyone in the Club to have for all those who contribute and participate in youth football. Congratulations to all the Lionesses for the hard work and high standards you are achieving”.
