Woburn & Wavendon Under 18 Lionesses have enjoyed yet another hugely successful season, winning the treble of League, County Cup & League Cup. What makes this even more remarkable is that it’s also for a second successive season !
Celebrating it’s 40th Anniversary this year, it’s tremendous that one of the current teams is probably also one of the Club’s most successful.
“Success like this does not just land on your plate. It takes an awful lot of hard work and real dedication, not only from the team but also the coaches, volunteers and parents” commented Ian Doggett, Club Chairman. “With girls/ladies football booming nationally, we are delighted that the Lionesses continue to impress both in terms of success and the large number of girls teams the Club runs”.
