Woburn and Wavendon Football Club are delighted to announce that McDonald’s Restaurants will be the Club’s main tournament sponsor. This extends the long term relationship the Club has enjoyed with McDonald’s over many years, and is particularly exciting with the return of tournament football again after a two year absence due to COVID. The sponsorship will see the tournaments (two of the largest and oldest in England) rebranded as the “McDonald’s Lionesses Tournament” and the “McDonald’s Lions Tournament.

“We really appreciate the long term support received from McDonald’s, and this extension will continue to enable the Club to deliver important community initiatives such as GoalAbility, Wildcats and Under 6 Cubs. I’d like to sincerely thank Ken, Laura and all the team at McDonald’s for their superb backing over many years” commented Robert Hill, Club Chair.

“Woburn & Wavendon FC is a fantastic example of a grassroots club with a real community spirit, and a drive to create the most inclusive environment for players of all genders and abilities. I’m proud to be a long term supporter of the Club, and to sponsor the Lions and Lionesses tournaments as they return this summer after the two year break” added Ken Tomkins, MD of Kaizen Restaurants.
