Following 8 successful seasons with our current playing and training kit design; we’ve taken the opportunity to go back to the drawing board and redesign out kits with a fresh modern look! From the outset, we wanted to stay true to the club’s identify that has formed over a number of years by keeping our (recognisable) combination of colours (claret and sky blue) and pattern (stripes) as this has formed part of our heritage.
During the planning stage, we were offered kits that were readily available however we felt it was important to visually distinguish our club’s presence on the pitch by opting for a bespoke design specifically for our club. We also took the opportunity to utilise the sublimation printing process for our branding (club and sponsor), numbering and badges meaning the personalisation will be printed into the material as the kits are manufactured. Moving away from embroidery and heat transfer will help with washing the kits as well as preserving the longevity of them!.
We have instructed the help of Macca Sports to deliver our kits for the coming season (2019/20) and we look to phase the roll out over the next 2 season as we provide approximately 1,000 new kits to our players, which will see all 42 WWFC teams wearing our new design!
We’re extremely excited to receive our new kits and we wanted to share some renderings with our members in the meantime…
